Terms of Use

By accessing Housing Ledger, you agree to these terms. They’re short, written in plain English, and designed to keep the site safe and useful for everyone.

What This Site Is

Housing Ledger is an independent editorial directory of Public Housing Authorities in the United States, built from HUD’s publicly available datasets. We are not a Public Housing Authority, we don’t process housing applications, and we have no authority over admissions decisions. We are also not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development or any other government agency.

No Warranty

We do our best to keep listings accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that any specific piece of information on this site is correct at the moment you read it. Public Housing Authorities change phone numbers, move offices, open and close waiting lists, and merge with neighbors on schedules we don’t control. Always confirm critical details by phone with the agency itself before relying on them.

The site is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Acceptable Use

You may use Housing Ledger for any lawful purpose, including printing pages for personal reference, linking to listings from your own site, and sharing pages with friends, family, or clients. You may not, however:

Third-Party Links

Many pages on Housing Ledger link to external resources operated by housing authorities, government agencies, and tenant-rights organizations. We don’t control those sites and we’re not responsible for their content, their privacy practices, or any actions they take based on information you provide them.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the date stamp at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after any change means you accept the revised terms.
